Children's Wisconsin is committed to providing educators with data from our K-12 e-learning courses that supports student learning. Our courses are created with objectives that align with both Wisconsin and National Health Education Standards, and include assessments designed to gather important, valuable data on student learning. The first through twelfth grade courses include pre- and post-tests to assess knowledge transfer (on paper for first through second grade and online for third through twelfth grade), and the Act Now! and It's UR Choice courses for upper grades also include pre- and post- attitude surveys to assess change in student attitudes and behavior.
Children's partners with the Consulting Office for Research and Evaluation in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee which provides statistical analyses of the data. We are proud to share that most recently (2015-2016 school year), data for all of our courses indicates that students are making statistically significant improvement in concepts taught.
Children's Wisconsin's e-learning annual enrollments have grown from 2,285 in 2007-2008 to 127,595 in 2015-2016. The 2007-2008 school year was the first in which enrollment and other student user data was formally collected.
