School counselors! Are you headed to the WSCA Annual Conference in Madison February 18-20? The Children’s Wisconsin e-learning team is presenting this year and we invite you to come hear how you can support students' emotional and mental health. The sectional, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19 in Hall of Ideas - Room M, will focus on our newest e-learning program, Healthy Minds for grades K-5 (Grade 3 available now and Grade 4 available April 1), and Take 5ive, a series of mindfulness activites you can use anytime in the classroom for grades K-12. School counselors will share best practices for delivering online health education curriculum to diverse audiences, and demonstrate how they align with WSCC, SEL practices, and state and national health education standards. You'll also hear an overview of Children's other e-learning programs on Bullying Prevention; Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs Prevention; Nutrition & Physical Activity; and Safety & Injury Prevention, along with the impact Children's e-learning programs are having on the attitudes and behaviors of K-8 students.
