Healthy Minds Kindergarten

Healthy Minds LogoAt Children’s Wisconsin, we believe caring for a child's mental and behavioral health is just as important as caring for their physical health.  That’s why we created Healthy Minds Kindergarten, part of a continuum of mental and emotional health e-learning courses for K-8 students. In this age-appropriate, teacher-facilitated course projected on a SMART board or other interactive projection system, students will learn how to recognize and identify basic feelings and emotions, how to manage their feelings, and how to show respect, care, and concern for themselves and others. As they move through the program collaboratively as a class, kindergarten students will view short online lessons, engage in offline activities, learn a fun song, and play educational games that give them the opportunity to review what they have learned.

Delivery Method

In this teacher or counselor-facilitated course, the delivery method is blended, utilizing a combination of online lessons and activities, and offline classroom activities.

Target Course Length

The target course length is approximately 2 to 2-1/2 hours, including online time, and offline time for classroom activities.
