Mission: Healthy Kids, a partnership of Kohl’s Cares® and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, is excited to invite all Wisconsin K-12 schools to take part in the Fall 2018 Healthy Schools Challenge: Physical Activity. The challenge is free, and it offers educators fun and interactive ways to introduce or continue to implement physical activity in your classrooms. The challenge takes place October 1-November 9, 2018.
You can choose from three outlined challenges (Walk Wisconsin, Activity Pyramid or Active Brain Breaks), or create your own. The challenge guidelines are easy to follow, and a Challenge Summary Rubric is included to guide you through the process.
A limited number of free Healthy Schools Challenge Classroom kits will be mailed out after you register your class, on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Kits include pedometers, posters, a Challenge Guide and giveaway items.
Submit your Challenge Summary by November 9, 2018 to qualify for one of 20 classroom awards. In addition, three special $500 awards, designed to further work with policy, systems and environmental changes focused on physical activity, will also be awarded.
