Join the Mission: Healthy Kids Healthy Schools Challenge: Nutrition

Mission: Healthy Kids, a partnership of Kohl’s Cares® and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, is excited to invite all Wisconsin K-12 schools to take part in the Spring 2019 Healthy Schools Challenge: Nutrition. The challenge is free, and it offers educators fun and interactive ways to integrate nutrition and healthy eating in the classroom! The challenge takes place February 4-April 1, 2019.

Created under the expert direction of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin's registered dieticians, the Challenge features relevant information and fun ideas to help your students: use MyPlate as a tool for balanced eating, discover hidden sugars, learn about the revised USDA food labels and how to read them, plan a healthy food drive, and much more! You can choose from outlined challenges or create your own. 

Classroom Kits

A limited number of free Healthy Schools Challenge Classroom kits will be mailed out to support your efforts, on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, so register early! Kits include a Challenge Guide, fact sheets, stickers, activity books, posters, and reusable lunch bags for your students.  

Classroom Awards

Submit your Challenge Summary by April 1, 2019 to qualify for one of 20 classroom awards. In addition, all schools submitting their Nutrition Challenge Summaries by April 1 - and earning a minimum of 13 out of 18 total points - will qualify to enter to win one of 10 $500 awards, designed to further your school's work with policy, systems, and environmental changes focused on nutrition and physical activity.
