Drug Defense
Grades 4 and 5

Drug Defense, an e-learning program for students in 4th and 5th grades, has been revised and updated. This fun, interactive game-based program includes an age-appropriate introduction to commonly used drugs, including tobacco, alcohol, inhalants, prescription and over-the-counter medication. Students will learn the effects of each of these drugs on their bodies. They also will get tips on how to resist peer pressure to try drugs, ideas on ways to form connections with adults, self-esteem building skills and ways to become involved in positive activities. The comprehensive teacher's guide offers additional classroom activities that can be used in combination with the e-learning program.
