Grades 4 and 5
Teachers and parents can’t protect children from bullies all the time, so we must teach kids to prevent bullying by themselves. Bullyfree Basics uses an interactive approach and a variety of activities to help students tackle this troubling issue.
This online bullying prevention program, developed in collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, gives students the skills they need to counter bullying behavior.
To foster a classroom of compassion, Bullyfree Basics teaches students:
- Different types of bullying that can occur.
- What to do when bullying takes place.
- How to create a bully-free classroom.

The program complements what students have learned in the third-grade DPI bullying curriculum and prepares them for the sixth grade DPI curriculum. However, students still can successfully use this program without the use of DPI curriculum.
Your school’s wellness initiative or antibullying plan will benefit from the use of Bullyfree Basics as the core of, or supplement to, your current health education.
